Imagine a 16 seed in the NCAAs being able to reach the Final Four by beating a 15 seed, 14 seed, 13 seed, and 12 seed, while a 1 seed has to beat a 2, 3, 4, and 5 seed. Seems manifestly unfair, no?

This 100%.

Also is there a playoff in any sport that isn't setup like this? Because I don't think so.

There's round-robin, but I'm not sure I would call those "play-offs" in the traditional sense.

Tennis grand slams, and I think it's stupid. You should always reward the top team with the weakest opponent.

As for the OP, I'm sorry that you are about to set a record for downvote/upvote ratio on Christmas Day, but at the same time, this question is so stupid you kind of deserve it.

Baseball has the capability of being different. The seeds will be 1-4/5; 2-3 but the 4/5 team could have a better record than anyone else- like this year
