Do any of y'all think Gus will be gone next year if he does not win at least 8 or 9 games? This is what the SEC post implied.

And he also needs to beat UGA or Bama

Depending on how well UGA is under year one I think. Will be a tough task going on the road on both of those games too. I don't think he's retained at just 8 wins. That doesn't say there's major improvement to me and still some obvious things holding Gus back. 9-10 wins and he's back. 8 wins, he's out.

Gua needs to slow his offense down so his defense can improve. No aensae in having them good players if they can't perform.

No, not at all. His offense needs to score and extend drives. It has nothing to do with the speed of his offense which is middle of the pack at best.

Auburn in 2013 was very good at slowing down the game, bleeding the play clock, and maintaining long drives that were demoralizing.

Yep. The HUNH is situational. Gus doesn't run an all-out hurry up offense.
I feel like this has been discussed so many times here too.

Probably has, but there's a distinct difference in Gus's HUNH and many others around CFB. Gus goes more HUNH early in the game, or in a critical drive where he thinks the defense is fatigued or has the matchups he wants. In the second half, he's more prone to sitting on the ball and draining the clock.
