Sorry for not reporting in, had a good friend call me right as it was all about to hit and ask if I had a safe place for him and his 10 yo son to take shelter and we have a badass cinder block 12 X 12 room I had somehow forgotten about til that point. I feel like a moron for not remembering but anyhow I scrambled to find the key and told them to come on and we ended up drinkin beer for the rest of the night. As I thought might happen (so blessed) the two horrible looking cells literally split us and my gfs house was fine as well. Glad to hear yall are all safe and prayers for holly springs. Etc. if this death toll is under 10 I will consider it a miracle and it's looking like that might just happen

ETA: despite splitting the two awful wind signatures by about 10 miles each the worst we got was a shitton of lightening, didn't even rain or have hardly much wind. It was all very weird and in fact the worst of it was in the second line that was just heavy rain, some 30-40 mph straight line and heavy rain in it

Consider yourself lucky. No rain means you were in the inflow. I'm so glad it missed you.
