re: UPDATE: New Orleans City Council votes to remove Confederate monuments

Meh. US flag flew over the genocide of an entire continent of indigenous people. We honor the individual fighting men from our wars. Its not like the union soldiers were fighting to free black people. Even Abe Lincoln said he thought that one race MUST be subservient to the other. Should we strip the world of his image. Memorials are for the fighting men, not for the cause. Don't bring politics into it.
