The guy is from a different geographic part of the country so no real ties to UGA. Richt was a former OC with a track record of success. Mcelwain is a former OC with a track record of success. Smart is a DC and no one knows what to expect of him as HC. I guess he could follow Richt but UM's facilities blow.

I mean, why not go to UF to play for an offensive minded coach?

Nussmeier is the key recruiter. At Michigan, he recruited Eason.
