Missouri is a even 17-17 in the sec since they joined, in the same time frame UF 21-11 in the sec.

I'm not all that attached to a "southron" identity, either. It's funny to me.
The people most-obsessed with projecting a particular regional identity are the most insecure. The Texans with the most "Texas Pride" bullshite paraphernalia are generally those most lacking in personality, for example.

Haha. Apart from this message board and corporate sponsors, I don't know anybody who felt anything about the Missouri game. It's kinda meh, in general.
I can remember games vs Ole Miss in Little Rock from my wee boyhood. I can barely recall Arkansas not playing LSU every year.
Missouri still feels like an early Independence Bowl to me. Weather has been comparable, too. Your lack of Southernity doesn't phase me. I'm marginally southern myself, and completely ok with it.

Missouri "borders" more states than any team in the SEC. For every IA and IL we have a KY or TN. Ditto for KS - AR.
