So what about the student from your university that was charged with and convicted of a hate crime and sentenced to federal prison for putting a noose on an otherwise idle statue on campus? I mean it didn't actually affect anyone, it just offended some people. See how ridiculous it sounds when you phrase things so simplistically like "i mean it's only a tree"
