Jimbo and Dabo are fools gold. In the SEC they get exposed. Again, my opinion.

You do realize that Chad Morris is no longer at Clemson, right?
And it didn't take him long to dump Steele and go after a better DC when it became apparent that Steele wasn't going to work out. So I think his track record has shown that he not only knows the importance of having quality coordinators, but can actually get them.

Yup. He can recruit, and he's got a good eye for coordinators.
But he really isn't a game day coach. His teams are mentally weak and prone to mistakes- at least, they have been against USC.
I think he'd get crushed under the weight of the Bama expectations, and the grind of the West.

The mark of a good coach is the willingness to hire good coaches. Dabo Swinney can hire good coaches, Dabo Swinney can recruit, Dabo Swinney is coaching the #1 ranked team in the country.
It almost isn't fair, that Bama will go from Saban to mid 40's Dabo...but buckle up butternuts, this ain't Georgia.

Every great head coach knows he needs great assistants to be successful.
Look at Bear Bryant for example.
Schellenberger created Miami out of absolutely nothing. He is just one coach, there were several others who also won NCs who worked for Bear.
Basically, your point holds true for every great head coach. The best coaches manage their staff and players by letting the assistants work.
Edit: I don't really want Dabo, I think I would rather have Joey Jones.
Bama could absolutely get a guy like Brian Kelly, Chip Kelly, Gary Patterson, or if Pete Carroll gets tired of the NFL again. However, the timing would need to be right.
One problem, there aren't very many home run hires available. Slim pickings at the top. There are maybe 5-7 "elite" coaches, Meyer is a step above everyone else, then Saban is another step above that.
By the way, IF Bama went from Saban to Chip Kelly, I think the rant would break.
