How? It's two completely different things. Football recruiting is all about relationships with the coaches, your 70+ teammates, and where you will live for the next 3+ years.

Basketball recruiting is relationships with a shoe company. That is about it. If Adidas says "hey we will sign you in the NBA if you go to State." 9/10 players are gonna do it. The coach matters in the eyes of Adidas. These kids don't care who the coach is, unless it is Coach K or Cal. Basketball is a "me" sport. You go where ever your shoe company tells you to. It's a business move.

In football, you go where you think you can contribute right away, a town you can have fun in and love for 3+ years, and the coaching staff.

Basketball recruiting is different. But football recruiting would improve with a known recruiter. That's my point.
