It appears it points to Kirby. Sure the other names are back up and leverage.. At least that makes business sense..
Still, I don't think they thought the PR aspect through and it will really come to be them if the team isn't really good in fast order...

The presser with Richt and McGarity could not have gone worse for McGarity and Georgia. Every coach who might be considering the Georgia position has to ask himself whether he wants McGarity for a boss.
Kirby Smart spent years working for a boss that he could respect. I don't think Kirby or any other quality candidate will ever choose to work under McGarity.
