How many non-LSU fans will even remember Saban as a LSU coach 25 years from now?

Will his time at LSU ultimately be a footnote like Bryant at A&M or Spurrier at South Carolina? It seems like a distant memory already. He didn't really have many classic games or moments at LSU that casual fans will remember. His biggest moments were probably the 2001 SEC Championship Game and the Bluegrass Miracle. I remember the 2004 BCS NCG being completely overshadowed by the NFL playoffs because it was played on a Sunday for some reason. I bet a lot of people won't even remember him as a former LSU coach years from now.

Totally. However, I don't think any of the other coaches won a natty at their respective schools. Correct me if I'm wrong
Ok I posted that not seeing Spurrier's name

More likely Saban's time with the Dolphins will be forgotten and LSU will say Saban left LSU for UA a decade from now.
LSU fans will remember Saban long after they have forgotten the bust they brought in to replace their winningest coach ever, Les Miles.

Probably not, but the average college football fan in America under the age of 30 or so probably couldn't tell you anything about Bear Bryant, either. MAYBE they have heard the name.

People will remember. It will be a "and he won one at LSU!" After talking about all his Bama championships.

Bryant at TAMU is famous, though. Junction Boys and all? I also know he was at UK, and I suspect I'm not even close to alone. You probably want an analogy more along the lines of "Danny Ford at Arkansas" or "Lou Holtz at USC". In any event, Saban won a national title at LSU, so I think his stint there will be remembered.

That moment when you laugh to yourself and think "yep, the Gumps are officially trying way too hard now."

I'll always remember him best for his stint at Toledo
