This was the quote from a booster in the article from ESPN.
Boy, wonder what that mindset is like?
While I applaud his spirit, paying a 15 million plus buyout for Miles and his coaches doesn't seem like a very smart/cost effective move. To me, you shouldn't judge your coach by his last 3 games so if there were already concerns about Miles, they should have never agreed to such a huge buyout. In stark contrast, our admins have been shrewd by comparison in managing Richt's contract.

Miles fricked over the boosters (and fans, to an extent) by backing into that National Championship. He was never a good fit and most never liked him, but how do you fire a guy that wins like he does, AND has won it all? Les hit the lottery once, and has apparently hit it again.
Ask him for his Cash 3 numbers and play them sumbitches "straight". You'll be swimming in Budweiser and Marlboros for a month!

LSU's financial situation is a freaking disaster. They're cutting programs left and right. And I believe the AD of LSU is actually a part of the school. If that's the case, there really is no justifiable reason to. If Les stays, there might be a small dropoff in revenue but not enough to truly impact the margin lines.
