if actual weed were legal and athletes were allowed to smoke, then I don't think many people would do that shite.

If cocaine were legal and athletes could snort it, I don't think many people would snort Comet Cleaner either.
What about simple personal responsibility and not doing drugs? Is that above their mental acuity?

Someone coming in with the sensible answer.

I say let people do drugs, make them legal. Let natural hierarchy sort out the ones dumb enough to do them. Let them naturally suffer in life instead of using my tax dollars to punish them for doing what they want with themselves.

They're in fricking college. Personal responsibility? Yeah, they should have some, but college should be the time to push your personal boundaries. I don't really give a frick what they do outside of the game so long as it doesn't with interfere or actually improve their game like steroids. You seem like you were a blast to be around during college with that mindset.

Cocaine not even remotely equivalent to weed. Whatever your feelings on legalization, you're not proving your point by making completely off-kilter comparisons.
