Seems like it worked out great for them. With a year of a head start they were able to poach a coach from a top 25 Power 5 program and get the biggest splash hire that entire cycle. In fact to me Arky is the proof of how badly the Tennessee AD fricked up.
They had one wasted year in the middle, but that is better than the five years Tennessee will waste climbing out of the hole the Dooley hire dug.
