That game, due to turnovers, the Ole Miss offense got 24 points (TWENTY-FOUR!) on only 77 yards of offense after turnovers. That's hardly on the D. Ole Miss had fields of 17, 18, 26, and 31 yards to work with. That's tough to ask a D. Also, I understand Kelly had 350+ passing. Look at his numbers without the passing anomalies of the prayer bounced off helmet and the illegal pop-pass. He was 55% completion percentage for 200 yards without those.

OSU, Clemson, and many others would be a challenge for Bama. No doubt. That said, Bama would be a neutral site favorite of 4+ against any team in the country moving forward.
