Arkansas handed LSU its second-worst home loss of the Les Miles era. One point from Ole Miss, 31-13, in 2008.
The Tigers have run for an average of just 47.5 yards in the consecutive losses against Arkansas.
The only other coaches to beat LSU twice in a row since Miles arrived in Baton Rouge are Nick Saban, Urban Meyer and Houston Nutt.
LSU has averaged 7 points per game in its last 2 games against Arkansas.
Tigers athletics director Joe Alleva first announced the promise of a contract extension to seven years and a raise for Miles in late November [2012], shortly after Southeastern Conference rival Arkansas had expressed interest in the coach for its vacancy. Miles was given a new 7 year contract, with a raise from $3.75M to $4.3M and a buyout of $15M if Miles is terminated prior to 2016. If Miles is terminated after 2015, the buyout drops to $12.9 million for the contract's fourth and fifth years, then to $8.6 million for the sixth year and $4.3 million for the seventh.
