No. That's what got Wolfe whacked. I can't believe people are criticizing Pinkel for this and saying he won't get another job. I agree with the other thread which says he is teflon now. He had to at least show some token support or he'd get torched in recruiting and the players would have continued to hold the school hostage. I think this whole thing is a crock of crap and the school administration should have told the players to pound sand. But, I don't think Pinkel could be the person to do that.
