I'm an Old Man football fan and I think if you look at my history you will see my general unease with this offiense.
I think the Air Raid (which I don't think we are really running anymore) has too many opportunities for failure.
Spav is a mess. I want him gone but I want a repudiation to this offensive scheme too. Get me some TEs and get me a horse RB and do Old Man work.
The defense needs to stop over running lanes to be sure but they are the least of my ire this morning.

You want to try and our power Bama and LSU with high school talent that doesn't play that way or produce elite interior lineman on either side? Did you watch LSU Bama last night? LF7 the best running back since AP, and a great OL ran for about what we did.
We are moving to a more power spread offense, and that's probably where we need to be.

If you look at this from a business perspective, there are certain positions where you should never hire people that require on-the-job training to perform.
Sumlin fell into this trap when he elevated Spavital. Spavital did not have years of proven experience as an offensive coordinator. He may turn out to be an outstanding offensive coordinator/head coach some day. We have been paying the price for him to learn on the job.
Sumlin went with an experienced hand when he changed DC. He also went with an experienced hand when he changed the OL coach. I expect he will do the same thing if/when he chooses to make a change at OC.
