It's not really the Academic or AAU shite, what the windfall from joining the B1G, is that all research is shared between the schools.
And Illinois-Chicago is also in the program.
The sharing of Research info is worth more than the tv contracts when it comes to the University. It can be a windfall for the research departments of your school.
PS i was never a b1g fan, and still dont want missouri in the conference.
