Are Bama fans more pumped and on edge about this week or the Tennessee game?
What national "titles" before 2007?

1992?

I kind of look at it like y'all got caught late and Auburn got caught late by the NCAA in those few years. Auburn was BY FAR the better program in the '80's... Pretty even in the '90's... And before Saban, was far an away better in the early 2000's.

You don't know what you are talking about.

I know if we subtract the Saban years, you were very young and didn't really know, but c'mon.

Jesus effing christ, child...why don't you do some research? Auburn "BY FAR" the better program in the eighties? Are you really this fricking stupid? Auburn won exactly one more game during the decade. The were 6-4 in the Iron Bowl, with an average margin of victory in their six wins of 5 points. They played in 8 bowls to Alabama's 9.

And "pretty even in the 90's" ? You're an idiot. Auburn had four...count 'em, 4...losing season in the nineties, and only 72 wins. Alabama had 91 wins and won at least ten games 5 times...compared to only twice for Auburn. The Iron Bowl was 7-3 Alabama in the nineties. Auburn didn't play in a major bowl the entire decade, and went four straight years without even being in a bowl.

We're obviously debating with a fricking turnip.

I grew up in the eighties and nineties. Auburn had Bo, won The SEC, went to a few Sugar bowls, Cotton bowls, and had a much bigger national presence. Bama was missing bowl games, playing in Freedom bowls, Aloha bowls and Liberty bowls.

Overall, in the parameters I mentioned, Auburn was the bigger program.

Especially for LSU fans... We pretty much owned Bama in Bama. I mean, one of our worst teams in the history of LSU football beat one of those vaunted '93-'99 SECCG participant Bama teams, at Bama.
