Notre Dame is better than most of them though. They have 2 point loss on the road vs the #1 team and have lost a slew of starters this year. In case you didn't realize, they are playing with their backup RB (who was 3rd string in the spring when Golson was there), their backup RB (who was actually 3rd string and a DB turned WR, turned RB), their starting NB, their starting TE (ND loves using their TEs), their starting DT, and their backup safety.
Where would Bama be without QB Coker, RB Henry, TE Howard, NB Minkah, whoever their DT is, and whoever their best rotating safety is?
Where would LSU be without QB Harris, RB Fournette, (we already lost TE Gordon), NB Thomas, DT Godchaux, and S Jefferson (who was our rotating safety before Mills was hurt in fall practice)?
Florida already lost QB Grier, but what about losing RB Taylor, TE McGee, DT Bullard, NB Poole, and whoever their rotating safety is?
Are they championship caliber, who knows? They are better than several undefeated teams though.
