In the SEC, yeah, probably.

In the NFL, no, not even close.

Rumor is Detroit might be dropping Megatron and Carolina might be moving in to get him. the subpar Atlanta sports radio folks were freaking out over the possibility.

I'd love it.

Nope.

He did have a great Heisman year though.

FWIW, ESPN rates Tebow's Heisman campaign better.

NFL.....not even in the same hemisphere as best ever. He's not top 8 in his own timeframe

Cam Newton had the greatest season in CFB history. Tebow had the greatest career.

In the SEC, it is a fair argument at the very least! Since he was "one and done" its harder to tell but still..

NFL, no. That said I respect him and I consider myself a fan even though as a Saints and LSU guy I have seen him as an opponent for his entire career.

Most dominant single season in SEC history is about as much as you can say IMO.

Cam Newton is a POS Thug. I thought after a few years in the NFL he would get past the "me, me, me......look at me, me, me"...but that is who he is.....nothing but a THUG....and Carolina is 7-0.....they got a hell of a defense. That's like saying is Eli Manning one of the top 10 greatest QB's ever? LOL....

Cam's greatest play ever was going back to finish his degree. can you imagine being a student at an SEC school and being able to take chicks to see your statue! I'd bet that might have been his best year ever.

Cam is doing an outstanding job, especially with the lack of talent he has to work with in comparison to some other elite quarterbacks.

So, if we're just talking quarterbacks, I'll start with Archie Manning. He played for maybe one of the worse teams in NFL history at the time, the Saints, and if you ever watched him, he was freaking amazing.

Um, next. How about Bart Starr. He was pretty good.

Oh, and maybe Kenny Stabler. Not too shabby either.

That's just three right off the top of my head. There's probably more.

Cam has the opportunity to be remembered as an all-time great, though, but it's still too early. He is not doing much to hurt his all-time stock, though, that's for sure. Time will tell.

It always has amazed me how he has escaped severe injury. He has this graceful way off falling, but this is the NFL now and he's taking some really hard shots and the way he plays, which I really respect by the way, may do him in.
