Uga is a way better job than A&M. Probably only behind bama but it could be number 1 with the right coach.

It's good not elite. How long did it take Dooley to win a title there? He is considered one of the best in SEC history and still needed the best Rb in Sec history to do it. Richt has done more than almost every coach in their history. So maybe it's a hard job to win a title at? Seems like it.

I'd say top fifteen but not top ten. They have a good recruiting State but so many close programs come in and steal from it.

According to Dan Wolken over at U.S. News, it's top 10. Possibly top 5.

The article also points out that our relatively new university president enjoys winning football games much more than our former one.

I'm going to disagree with you there....
We are top 10 now...when the money men decide they want more and open up their cheap purses...we will be an elite destination

It's coming ...only a matter of time..

meanwhile...you guys look to have made an excellent hire as of now...congrats

Nobody´s taken the time to correct you, and have properly used the word in this same thread. You however, continue with your third misspelling. You´re either not reading, or do not comprehend (I´m fairly sure it´s the latter, and I´m not referring soley to your spelling of relevant).

A&M is proud of you.

The number 12 was obvious sarcasm, but other "A&M"'s that come to mind are Alabama A&M and Florida a&m... Both hbcu's

Y'all will be lucky to land our interim HC, Elliot.

Doubt he wants to play in that shite conference, though.

Better than Clemson n penn state for sure. And a&m. Easier division better recruiting. A&m has to go west cuz Baylor tcu UT Lsu Oklahoma very tough to battle in Texas.

Elite jobs that coaches dream about and then wake up in a cold sweat:

Alabama
LSU
Tennessee
Michigan
tOSU
Texas
OU
Notre Dame
USCw
Florida State

Penn State was important because of JoePa, end of story. That legacy died with him and Voldemort

Why are you laughing? Before 2010, I didn't even know where your school was located.

Before 2010, I always thought of Texas A&M as that school where legendary coach Bear Bryant preferred kidnapping the players and taking them to a field in Junction to practice rather than stay on campus.

Neither Clemson, Penn State, nor Oklahoma get the talent year in and year out as UGA. Not close to being better jobs

Georgia job is better than TAMU and equal to Clemson and Mich State right now. Tenny and Nebraska use to be in that group. I'd also add Oregon as a job as good as most of those listed.

I don't really have a dawg in this fight (deal with the pun), but Georgia could be scary fricking good with the right head coach. They'd be just like LSU with a deeper talent pool to choose from if they could lock down the state.

Also, anyone who thinks A&M, Florida State, Clemson, Virginia Tech and Penn State are better jobs is a fricking moron.

Florida, probably yes. The others are actually debatable. A&M lacks the historical success and has traditionally been little brother but their entry into the SEC has opened the door for the right coach to dominate there.

Texas and USC yes. Those are probably in the top three jobs of all of college football. Florida State is debatably a better job but it ought to be a real debate and reasonable people can absolutely pick UGA.

Notre Dame, Michigan, PSU, OU are bigger names with more historical success but are at a recruiting disadvantage compared to UGA with the combination of their winters and co-eds.

Clemson isn't really considered a top ten job to most people although most coaches would happily coach there unless a Florida, USC, or Texas level program came calling.

Auburn and Tennessee are the only program not listed that have an argument. AtM? Not even close

Penn State? Clemson?

Most educated football fans would agree UGA is a top 10 job. People like to reference short comings, but the foundation is in place. A good X and O coach would take this program to a whole new level. With the upgraded facilities, fertile recruiting grounds, brand name, fan support, etc. UGA has the ingredients to challenge anyone in the Nation. People who say otherwise are doing their best to make a name for themselves on a message board, the end.
