This is actually what I think is true. Although nickel isn't consistently the best formation for what's being thrown at us it DOES put our best players on the field, which are our safeties. So even though it means we get run to death, it makes it possible for us to have our surest tacklers and best cover men out there to make PLAYS. I'm pretty sure that, even though we'd probably give up less rushing yards on average with another LB out there, we wouldn't have as many turnovers.
