He was a Tennesseean born and raised. Played and coached at Tennessee for 35 years. Tennessee was always his final job. He was fired at age 58 and moved on with his life to be with his grand kids and the millions of dollars in his bank account. Can't blame him.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer grew up in the small town of Winchester, a short drive from the Alabama border, and seriously considered playing for Crimson Tide coach Bear Bryant before choosing the rival Volunteers.
