Auburn CB Jonathan Jones on Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell: "He's a regular receiver like everybody else."

This approach to defending the top players in the league seems to be working out well for Auburn.

I will be picking Treadwell on my draftkings lineup this weekend. This solidifies it.

I just hope somebody gets a microphone in front of Tray Matthews during DSOR week.

the little white boy from Arkansas lit the Auburn secondary up. And we'd damn sure trade him for Treadwell. JJ ain't too bright.

Well, he's right. He's going to get torched by Treadwell like every other receiver as done to him.

I guess the Rudy Ford-LSU incident wasn't as much of a teachable moment as we all thought.

Here's the actual video (question around 20 seconds in):

LINK

Paraphrasing:
Q: How difficult of a challenge is it to cover Laquon Treadwell?

Jonathan Jones: Um.. He's a regular receiver like everybody else. You watch him on film, you study him and you go out there and play.

Q: Did you face him last year?

JJ: Yeah..

goes on to talk about Laquon's injury and says Laquon is a good player and is a competitor who will be fired up.

I'd care more if Treadwell hadn't talked shite himself already. He did, so I don't.

I mean, he's right. Right now Treadwell is maybe a 2nd round pick. The problem is Auburn hasn't been able to stop any receivers, regardless of talent.

Hope Treadwell carries the ball into the endzone this year
