IMO, Butch Davis is the leading candidate. He has been successful everywhere he has been, he built the most talented roster in college football history as the HC before, and he wants the job.

63 years old and NCAA issues. I'd say that chances of him being the next HC are <5%.

I wouldn't exactly call his North Carolina tenure "winning everywhere he's been". Not to mention he's going to have been sanctioned at every school he's coached at (waiting for the UNC announcement)
