Tons of law school graduates never take the bar exam and never intended to, but whatever...
Medical school has one purpose, make doctors.
The Corps is not meant to be a military officer factory. Thats what service academies are for and that's why they are directly funded by the DOD.

ROTC is playing army. As is attending a service academy. How much one benefits from the experience is entirely moot.
If one wants to be in the army it is quite simple to do so. Once one is in the army he is no longer pretending that he is while yelling at football games.
