Ehhhhh... It is and it isn't. Waiting for somebody to lose can be looked at as "backdooring." If Florida beats LSU and loses to us but loses a shocker to say, South Carolina, then I could see it as "backdooring".

Potentially, I prefer to just say we dont' control our own destiny.

However, IF we are to somehow win the east (which this whole hypothetical is based on) we pretty clearly need to win out. I mean, sure there are other ways but I'm being realistic. So even if we do win out, and we do win the east, UF would have to lose to someone as well..most likely a highly ranked LSU.

In that event, both us and UF have a loss to the 2 best teams in the west plus an east loss. Only we would have beaten them head to head. I don't really consider that a backdoor.
