Richt also won the SEC twice Two sugar bowls Play away from the natty And has had Georgia as a national title contender multiple times This comparison is stupid as frick

Yes, 2 SEC titles....the last of which was 10 years ago.

Yes, 2 sugar bowl wins, one against Hawaii. Does anyone think if we play Hwaii 1000 times we lose more than 5 times? Also don't forget the blow out to fricking low life basement dwelling West Virginia. We have not been a national title contender under Richt....not once, certainly not multiple times.

Listen, I understand being afraid of change. But as S pith Carolina learned today change is going to happen. Without change you can't progress. We are stuck in mediocrity. Mark. Richt has built us into a solid, winning program...but that is ALL that he is capable of. We were teetering on the edge of becoming even less relavent than we had been prior to a Richts arrival.....but he has done all he can. Like Spurrier he was the best coach for the job when he was hired....that is no longer the case.

Richt is damaging his legacy at UGA. Does anyone think he is more likely to win a natty than have a 4-8 season or two? He should have resigned at least 5 years ago. He is merely taking money and not doing his best work at this stage....and that is stealing, a very unholy thing.

I admire Richt. He simply is not a great coach and is marginally an acceptable coach. Hiring someone new is fraught with danger...not doing it is just as risky because you become complacent as a program....

Get comfortable being uncomfortable. That's what we need to do.

And a lot of sportscasters had the Sugar Bowl vs. Hawaii picked as their "upset" because, well.....Georgia.

Fortunately, Richt and the team did a good job of proving them wrong with that one.
