He'd likely be out of a job by seasons end (assuming the new hc wouldn't hire him)

I can assure you Muschamp took into consideration that Spurrier didn't have that much longer left, and he still went to Florida. He doesn't want that job.

I doubt he would have gotten promoted. Champ still has to work his way back up, imo.

Would it be a good thing for Muschamp to the head coach of USCe right now? He needs to let everyone forget how bad he is not be a hot garbage this soon again. It's bad enough he looks like he was not the master behind UFs defenses. Both of his DCs are showing him up right now badly.

Or maybe he coaches up the D, they win more and Spurrier is still the HC.
