Wasn't he your leading tackler last year?

Without a doubt, LF is a beast. Your best hope is to collapse rushing lanes and contain; if a team can dominate LSU's OL (which hasn't happened yet) and get him before he hits top speed then even he can be stopped - but after that, nope.
The best match-up will be Alabama's front 7 vs LSU's OL and RBs. Unstoppable force meets unmovable object.
Shame we still have a few weeks before we get to see it.

Tried to explain to an ole miss buddy back home that I was most concerned about Alabama for this reason and said they are built to stop LSU's running game and Ole Miss isn't. He didn't want to hear it.

He hit him from the side on a special teams play while he was making a cut. Hahahhahahahahaha, it's not like he hit him head to head on defense.... He's running down the field full speed, not to mention Fournette got up like nothing happened

That play will go down as the highlight of Foster's career. Haven't seem him do much since.

I honestly wouldn't like Ole Miss' chances against LSU if I were a Rebel... sorry, Blackbear fan. Bama's best success seemed to come when we ran power at them, but decided to get cute at times (plus playing from behind hurt that too). Henry finished with 5.5 YPC, and I think LSU's got the better RB and better run-blocking OL than we do. Assuming LSU avoids the same pitfalls we did on special teams, I'm having a hard time seeing a way for OM to win that game.

I think Bama matches up well against LSU's running game, as you guys have said. I think Ole Miss matches up well against LSU's secondary -- those WRs are awesome and their QB scares me. I think Florida matches up well, in general, although (a) they may be undersized on the DL to go 4Q with LSU and (b) their QB play is now questionable, at best. Finally, and this may sounds crazy, but Arkansas still matches up with LSU's run game pretty well, although they can't see to manufacture points this year.
The one team that does NOT match up well is Texas A&M. Their system is ineffective against fast defenses and ball control offenses, and they don't have the horses on D to shut us down.

It's more than fear. It's complete and utter jealousy. I love it.

Oh I told him last year that LSU had a great chance to win because Miles would be the only coach stubborn enough to continue to run right at them for 60 minutes and that's what it would take for LSU to beat them. Again, he didn't want to hear it, and we all know how that turned out. It's basically the same situation again this year, except LSU is better and Ole Miss' secondary is worse, yet he still doesn't get it. If Kiffin would have gotten his head out of his arse and run a power game the entire game, Alabama wouldn't have lost. He really gets way too cute at times with the running game when he doesn't have any need to.
The thing that gets me with him and on this site a lot is that people just don't understand how many games come down to matchups and not simply team A is better than team B, so team A will beat team B. There's a reason why Alabama is the team that has given LSU the most fits and vice versa the past 7-8 years. They're both designed perfectly to beat one another. It generally comes down to field position, turnovers, and special teams.

Watching that play live I felt like the one South Carolina DB kind of ran stride for stride on the side of him with no real intention of trying to tackle him

But will our secondary stop giving away cheap points? Thomas is struggling and Toliver is still a freshman, for all his talent. Those Ole Miss WRs are pretty damn good. Hopefully we don't play that game from behind, because if get in that situation we'll probably lose.

He doubled what your team was allowing per game on the ground as a true freshmen.... Yeah, you shut him down

Getting Mills back this week should be a huge help. I'm honestly not worried. A one dimensional team like Ole Miss is not the type of team that worries me. If they can't establish a run game before our game, I'm still pretty confident. It's not like they didn't have great receivers last year.

Yeah, I'm hoping we've gotten our Coker to Ridley connection down pat by the LSU game - I think that's the one spot we might hold a decent advantage, but even then I'm not sure.
Hopefully we'll have Drake and Henry line up a lot, so we can run speed or strength depending on the look.
