not to hijack your thread but your post reminded me of this gem about recruiting success i came across the other day:

quote:

I have Bama with about an 11 of 30 success rate (See Rivals) So a success rate of slightly better than Auburns...

Not sure how you got your numbers.. Want to fill these in????? Agree or Disagree, I used RIVALS rankings.

2012 (8 of 16)
Eddie Williams - Student Muggings Dismissed
Yeldon - Good
Landon Collins - Good
Chris Black (Second Team)
Ryan Anderson (Second Team)
Amari Cooper (Good)
Denzel Devall (Good)
Travell Dixon (who)
Kenyan Drake (Great before injury)
Dalvin Tomlinson (2nd team))
Brandon Greene (2nd team)
Geno Smith (Good)
Reggie Ragland (good)
Dillon Lee (Good)
Korren Kirven (Who)
cyrus Jones (good)
Tyler Hayes - LB (WHO)

2013 3 of 14...
Dee Liner (Transfer - Big BUST)
Alvin Kamara (Transfer @ Tennesee) BUST
Darious Paige DT (Medical Transfer)
Tyren Jones RB (who)
ArDarious Stewart (GOOD)
Cooper Batemen QB (Bust)
Grant Hill OL (Gone)
Maurice Smith DB - Bust
Derrick Henry - GOOD
Raheem Falkins (who)
Tim Williams DE, Baton Rouge (who)
Altee Penny (RB) Transfer BUST
A'Shawn Robinson (Good)
Johathan Allen (Second Team)

So, apparently some people here think Jon Allen, among others, is a recruiting bust and wasnt worthy of 4 star status.

I'm surprised some people think of Allen as a bust. He isn't a starter in base, but still he's a starter against more spread teams and is our leading sacker.

Plus he ran down Tre Mason, that was fun.
