They were magnanimous in reaching out to offer support [both venue-wise and financial] after it became apparent that we couldn't host in '05. Sure it meant the game was played there, but they didn't just accommodate, they raised a whole sh!t load of money and if memory serves, donated most if not all the concession money to the Katrina relief effort.

How ironic that LSU is in a position to do EXACTLY the same thing. It's like one of those insurance commercials where a person watches a stranger lend assistance to someone in need, which prompts him or her to do the same. Please spare me the "yeah but this involves millions of dollars." If the money will assist in the relief efforts, then it shouldn't matter. The fact that this involves a conference foe shouldn't matter.
