only if Tennessee wasn't about to play Alabama. now that Bama and UGA have played, Bama won't suffer from any collapse UGA may or may not have, Bama can just claim credit.

Tennessee, however, is about to play Alabama, and therefore Alabama benefits from Tennessee not being a broken wreck of a team. It's better that Tennessee be a resurgent team with some unlucky brakes.

You have wrapped yourself up into this too much.

I apologize in advance that OM is gonna lose more games, and Bama could be in position once again for the playoffs despite losing to them. That seems to be your real issue.
