It would have been interesting to see how he would have done with Mac. I'm still not sold on his other intangibles. He was too placid on the sidelines and didn't generate any motivation. He was the polar opposite of Tebow.

So was Chris Leak. According to that article about all the craziness when Meyer was our coach, Tebow wasn't actually even the emotional leader of the team. Having a vocal QB isn't necessary for team success.

The entire team was unmotivated. It was, top to bottom, a heartless program. You can see a complete difference in how we conduct ourselves now. Unilateral.
And Driskel was elected team captain at Louisiana Tech three months from landing there by the team -- not by the coaches, by the team.
Pretty sure the atmosphere around our program was absolute shite.

I think constantly being used as a scapegoat probably destroyed any motivation he had. Glad to see him doing well. 3 Coordinators in 3 yrs doesn't set you up for success.
