Has nothing to do with being "cheap".Jesus dude, its about making sure funds get into the proper hands. Hell,Im more than happy to contribute to a go fund me account where I know the funds are going to his family. Wouldn't you hope that these players have the proper medical insurance in the event of injuries like this? If not,its a freakin travisty.

This is not a gofundme account. This is through Southern U. These insurance policies are capped. I don't know what they are capped at. Given that he is a college aged kid he possibly could need medical help for the next 60 years that these insurance policies will not cover once they run out.

I checked the link out and it's legit, but yesterday one of Devon's friends came in here and posted not to give to any "me fund" as it could jeopardise his future.
I'm sure it's just confusion and I will be cutting him a check as this is one area where every little bit helps in making a difference.

I would assume it varies greatly with whoever the provider is. I would hope they would also provide catastrophic insurance for him for something like this.
Its pretty much a lump sum for cases like his.Hell,I know we he had it in HS ball. But Im obviously no expert.

Like I said before Im ALL for provding this type of assistance and would much rather give to his family or gofundme account or even a UGA AA or St Marys fund.

I would hope his Southern account is set up just for his
needs and his family's needs instead of going to some sort of college bureaucracy that will then administer the funds.

Whatever the case I will contribute to his expenses.
