It's like you said. If you both hit it and you're leading prior thereto then you lose (I think the theory to make it analogous to a game is the person behind has the ball and there's only one play left). I lost one last year this way. If you are leading at that time you are at a disadvantage which is what I don't like about it but otherwise I like the rest of the format with bonuses, etc.

On another issue I've noticed some picking the underdog to win which if correct earns seven points for the pick. I've always been picking the underdog to cover because they don't have to win and I still get the seven points if they cover. The only other thing which comes in to play is that you can play the bonus with the cover and have a chance at eight points versus seven (or six if you miss the bonus). I'm trying to figure out as to why a player would pick the underdog to win as opposed to simply picking the underdog to cover in cases where the player believes the underdog will win?

well that's fricking stupid. It shoudl be denoted *HMB will only be counted if you are losing going into the game, otherwise will not be counted*

It doesn't make any sense that I fill out a guess for a pick and it won't be counted, unless I'm losing. If I get it right, I should get some sort of credit.

That's right. Don't spread it around.
