If it's a first offense DUI I think he deserves a second chance. He definitely won't be getting any jail time in that scenario, and he can probably even get "youthful offender" status. If this is a recurring problem then he needs to go.
Regardless, it's hard to imagine him doing any worse on field goals than Griffith. The fact that he's still the backup and a walk-on speaks volumes for his abilities. Doesn't change my opinion of how it should be handled though.

IIRC from him playing last year he's got good accuracy but can't hit from distance. I think the coaching staff is stubbornly hoping that Adam Griffith is going to miraculously return to high school form if he just keeps kicking.
