I was basically choosing it as a best-case scenario for small town Arkansas outside of NWA, Central Arkansas and Hot Springs

El Dorado is not too bad either. Magnolia is okay.
Point is, South Arkansas is not a total wasteland. Some damn fine folks down here, and some good athletes as well. And more money than you'd think, although not as spread out.
This is the part of the state that pretty much feeds the rest, supplies the lumber to frame those nice houses and knows how to work and mostly could survive without any help from the rest of the state.
But I digress. Getting back to the subject, I hope ASU beats Toledo like a damn drum. A couple of homeboys from south Arkansas are on ASU's team and of course I want to see them do well. Another kid I know will be up there on the team next year. Thus my increased interest in how well ASU does. Until they play UofA (which may never come about) I will pull for ASU as well as the Hogs.
