Not that it proves anything that we don't already know, but here are the percentages of students at our SEC brethren schools that call the state the university is in home:

A&M 95%
GA 90%
TN 89%
LSU 80%
MSU 73%
KY 71%
MO 66%
AU 64%
OM 60%
Ark 59%
AL DNP
SC DNP
VND DNP
FL DNP

DNP - Does not participate in the Voluntary System of Accountability (VSA).

At 59%, we are the lowest, with maybe the exception of Vanderbilt. I'm pretty sure all the others are above us.

Out-of-state students outnumber Alabama residents at the University of Alabama

"This fall, there are 18,325 out-of-state, military and international students on campus, and 17,830 Alabama residents.

In the 2014 freshman class, the largest in UA's (Alabama) history, there are 2,474 Alabama residents and 4,382 out-of-state students (including military and international.) The class's average ACT score is 26.1, the highest in UA (Alabama) history."
