Is Malzahn a "flash in the pan"?

In October 2011, after LSU dismantled Chizik's second to last Auburn team, I posted this exact question regarding him. Most thought I was crazy at the time as he was less than 2 yrs removed from a NC, but that game was the beginning of the end for him.
I couldn't help but be reminded of Chiziks last Auburn team on Saturday as Auburn looked inept on both sides of the ball.
I personally think Malzahn is a pretty sharp guy and a good coach, but I question whether his style can produce wins consistently in this conference. Just as I did with chizik.
Auburn fans, convince me why Malzahn will still be around in 5 years and if you think he will win another SEC West title.

He almost cried on the sideline this past Saturday.

We'll find out a lot about Malzahn with the remainder of this season. If all things go to shite, he should be given another season and that will be the season that decides his fate.

What if they don't want to convince you?

Was he in the process of flashing as he pushed LSU's shite in last year with a defensive back at QB?

I remember Les crying after the game when Scam ran it down their throats.

High School coach that flew too close to the sun. He's about to crash. Same thing will happen with Frezus soon enough.

Yeah, he sucks. Just forget that his offense averaged 35 or 40 points in 3 of his previous 4 seasons

Our jury is out on Malzahn too. We honestly have no idea what to expect for the remainder of the season. We're being optimistic with Sean White getting the start, and I believe he's going to be dynamite...like Nick Marshall dynamite. I know they're two completely different types of QB's, but they both will have taken the world of college football by storm once White's career is done at Auburn.

Malzahn wouldn't have even had a flash if not for two all time miracles.

Hell no, he's a good coach, has been a good coach and will right the ship. Not an Auburn fan, but damn, he recruits well, players play hard for him, and respond to his coaching.
I do see that it seems defenses have evened the gap regarding his offense, but that is a normal ebb and flow of the sport. Hell the much vaunted Bama D is giving up points like a pinball machine, but will adjust as well.

I will try to continue on with my life, despite the emptiness in my heart for a lack of responses.
