It's a nickname he has been given by some of the media, I don't see it as a dig. As I posted earlier good on Les we need more of this kind of thing in this world.

Les never liked it much, but it was a great nickname given to him by Mark Mays. Of course, this was when Miles was a bit more prone to take chances, with fakes and whatnot, than he is now.
Still, when talking football and someone says "mad hatter", you immediately think of Les Miles.
