2013
Ole Miss - 27
LSU - 24

2014
Ole Miss - 23
Bama - 17 (10)

2015
Ole Miss - 43
Bama - 37

I know this isn't a big deal to a program like Bama or LSU but man, things are changing in Oxford.

A big part of Ole Miss walking into Tuscaloosa and getting a win is the belief that they belong on the field with the traditional heavyweights.

This team and coaching staff believes they can not only compete with but also beat anybody and it is reflected in not only their play on the field but in their success on the recruiting trail as well.

This is the major difference between the two Mississippi schools. State shows up in Tuscaloosa last year ranked number 1 and played and coached like a bunch of pussies. State started that bullshite "We Believe" campaign but it couldn't have been more obvious that they didn't.

Random thoughts. frick you.

TL;DR: Lol @ State

Interesting choice in number. Why not top 5?

Be careful with your wording. If we take credit for this then we can't still say Dan Mullen has never beaten a top 20 team

How did that work out? You still didn't win 10 games and you still have NEVER been to the SEC championship game.

TOUCHDOWN TCU!

Random thoughts: @ Ole Miss thinking they are some elite team.

Only three charter members of divisional play have never been to the SECCG.

Vandy, UK, and Ole Miss AKA the Vanderbilt of the West.

Have a great day.

That's neat. Now do the number of OM SECCs and National Championships since you guys were forced to take down the whites only signs.

The major difference is Bucky's squad has never finished above MSU in the SEC standings.

Win more games

Is this the year that Hugh Freeze finally finishes ahead of State in the SEC West Standings? He has yet to do it.

Why are you loling at State? If you use the ranking they were when they were beaten Dan Mullen beat 3 top 10 teams last year.

Why not top-7 or top-8?

Screw it all. I think LSU has beaten a top-23 team all the time.

Your irrelevance will continue after your one good class in 20 years leaves at the end of the year.

You just aren't in the same conversation. Deal with it.

Congrats to OM for beating Bama 2 years in a row. To put it in perspective, I believe Auburn beat them 7 in a row a while back and LSU beat them 5 in a row. You still have some work to do there., but its a good start.

Now you have to learn how to finish a season.

You certainly have the belief in yourselves and the horses to win big games.

The biggest hurdle now is to do so consistently. That's harder than a lot of people realize; the biggest factor for teams that have had "dynasties" isn't just winning the big game, but winning lots of big and almost-as-big games day in, day out.

OM was good enough to beat us last year, but couldn't finish up and fell out of the race for the SECW. You managed to beat the team that ultimately won out the regular season and pass you to still get the conference crown.

So, congrats to OM. I'm curious to see if you can now sustain it. As a Bama fan, I, of course, hope you don't (so that we can get to the SECCG); however, if not us then I wouldn't mind seeing a new face there for the SECW.

It's great to see Ole Miss return to competitive SEC football. You guys have been fun to watch in recent years, and I really look forward to the LSU-Ole Miss matchup now. GREAT victory at Bama!
