Home team normally gets 3 points to start, so this will be a "pick 'em" with GA getting roughly 3 points

Yea I was thinking Ga by 3. I dont think bama has been an underdog in quite a while, but this would be understandable and depending on how the game goes it probably will not be the last time we are dogs this year, I think its gonna be a really good game though.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it open higher, like UGA -5, tempting bettors to drive it down.
Honestly, it should be around UGA -1.
Bama may lose, but to bet they'd lose by a lot would be absurd, considering Bama's losing games score margins.

Opening line is just a ploy to get money flowing. When Vegas thinks they gotten all they can get from that line, they switch it up. Not really about who they think is the favorite to win, just about the cash.
