Yes, the AP awarded their champion before the bowl game. If anyone cared about that then there would be no debate over any claim of a national title outside of the AP. is it your opinion that any of LSU, UGA or Syracuse were better football teams than Ole Miss in 1959? When all is said and done, after all the games were played only two teams could legitimately claim to be the best team. And those two never got to play each other.

Who gives a frick about what happened in college football in the 50s and 60s. According to you dickheads they're were like 5 national champions in 1960.

The point is, unless you were born in 1940, ole miss football is complete garbage. Always has been. But, a win Saturday could change everything.
