LSU vs State Basics. Why LSU wins easy

If Mississippi State is so much better then why does Vegas and the vast majority of college football experts predict LSU to win? Oh that’s right…. LSU has recruited with the best of them. Top 5 classes the last 4-5 years while State hasn’t come close to that. Why else? Experience. LSU returns 16 starters while state returns half that…. How about a positional comparison?

You have already done this thread once.
You were wrong then and wrong now.

No reason to play the game this week either then, huh? LSU will go 3-0 and be national champs.

Didn't State's inferior recruiting beat y'all last year?

And who won last year?

LSU had the same advantages last year.
Here's the deal. If Les thinks he's going to win this game running Fournette up the middle, its going to be a long night for LSU fans. Chris Jones is a man. And Nick James is better. The pure size and speed that James brings over center is going to be tough to handle. If you double team him, Jones will get you.
The linebacker corps at State may not be as talented as they were last year, but they have speed and will seal up the edges. Sure, LSU may break a couple of decent runs, but it will not be consistent.
Can LSU take advantage of State's weak secondary? They will have to if they want to win.
On the other side of the ball, you know what Prescott can do. I can almost guarantee that he won't be held back against LSU. State also has a really good receiving corp, and Gus Walley is finally a receiving tight end that will complicate things for LSU's defense.
State's question is going to come at right tackle and running back. The speed back, Holloway, will be there. But if State cannot compliment Prescott with a tailback that demands respect, it will be a long night for MSU's offense.
This game comes down to two questions, and neither is "easy."
1. Can LSU throw the ball down the field?
2. Can State get some production from the backfield to compliment Dak?
This game is going to be a battle. I fear for the sanity of anyone that really believes this will be a blowout, either way.

You are either 12 years old or an idiot, Vegas never has and never will predict who will win any game. They predict a score to keep even money bet on both sides, huge difference.
Once you understand this and the dynamics involved the odds shift in your favor a bit.

I agree that LSU should be favored and believe they will probably win, but the breakdown looks more like this to me:
QB: State
RB: LSU
WR: Push
OL: LSU
DL: State
LB: Push
DB: LSU
If it was as lopsided as your breakdown, LSU would be favored by 14+.

LSU will win because they will have the better athletes and this time MSU doesn't have the experience fact to counter it like they did last year.

Rivalry!!!
I guess you left off coaching because State has such a huge advantage.

Grammar isn't the worst part of your posts, but at least make an effort to get past the thread title.

I will give you two good reasons. Neither started vs. Mississippi State last year. Once we inserted them into the lineup, oh what do you know we had the league's #1 defense.

Serious question. Why does your depth chart show 11 new starters out of 22? Did someone just forget to bold the names of some of the returners?
