I went the BMW route for the wife a couple years ago. X5 with the 4.8. Honestly the most fun vehicle I've ever driven. Although I hate the fact that it costs $1,500 to replace any one part on it.

I got a 335i hardtop convertible. Most fun car I've ever owned.
