They got FSU and Alabama right. Ohio State would've been picked but they had lost to Michigan State in the Big 10 championship the year before.

UCLA looked very promising but they had a very hard schedule.

Probably more because they had lost their starting QB for the season.

Their losses were still games they should have won. Oregon at home, Stanford at home, Utah at home.
