It sucks, but at the end of the day, the neutral site games pay way more money than a home game does. For schools like Alabama, it's hard to get many teams to agree to travel to Tuscaloosa, so it's easier to get locked into these neutral site games and get a good P5 team on the OOC schedule. All the ADs care about is maximizing revenue, and this is what has resulted. I hate it and agree that's it's ruining part of what makes college football fun, but it is what it is. But at the end of the day, attendance doesn't really matter. Getting a TV deal is what makes the big money in these games. These games are nothing more than mini bowl games with half the stadium filled with corporate tickets.
